1960's Rolex Explorer ref. 1016 "Frog Foot" MK 1 Dial

A marvelous, honest and well preserved example of the famous Rolex Explorer ref. 1016, in stainless steel, a 1.7MM serial from 1967, with a beautiful MK 1 “frog foot” matte dial, matching ivory colored indices and correct hands, powered by the hearty and consistently accurate Rolex cal. 1570, paired on its correct and original folded link 7836 bracelet and Rolex blade clasp.

Case measuring the standard 36mm

Caseback contains engravings further confirming date of manufacture curing the 4th quarter of 1967

Fold link bracelet affixed to the case with correct 358 endlinks and contains average stretch consistent with age yet remains tight.

Case remains strong and thick with only light evidence of polish.

Matte dial is beautiful with slight signs consistent with age around its circumference.
